This year has been hard with all of the unknowns that we have faced as business owners. I totally can relate to how you are feeling and where to go for 2022.
Today I am providing a little bit of encouragement and giving you a few practical tips to make the best out of 2021.
With 2022 around the corner, it’s important to be prepared! We are doing an episode all on planning for 2022 in November, so be on the lookout for that.
For today, I wanted to share my top tips for taking this crazy year and ending it on a good note. I hope these tips leave you feeling encouraged and ready to finish the year.
Tips for Ending the Year Right
Pay Attention to YOU
With all the craziness, I’m sure your mental health has taken a toll! As a business owner, we are not only worried about the safety of ourselves and others, but also making sure that our business stays afloat. Pay attention to you in this last quarter of the year and do what feels right. Don’t take clients on holidays! I remember 2 years ago when I spent my Christmas eve doing rentals for an engagement party. I missed those moments with my kids and my family. This year, I encourage you to put yourself first and say no. It’s okay to say no every once in a while!
Create Your Joy List
We’ve talked about our joy lists a lot here on the podcast, but it’s because we love them so much! Schedule out some time this quarter to do something that brings you joy! Get a massage, grab a coffee, or whatever else it may be. You will thank yourself!
Get Your Books Straight
To get prepped for the new year, it’s important to make sure that your finances are covered. Many times, we wait until January 1st to start looking at our finances, but I’ve realized that it’s really hard to look forward into the new year when you are spending the first few weeks looking in the past. If you have your books straight BEFORE the new year, you’ll have a fresh perspective going into 2022.
I hope these few tips help you get through these last 4 months. Listen to today’s episode above or listen below on YouTube!
