Why are websites so important?
First, let’s start with what high-converting actually means. A high-converting website is one that gets a lot of views, clicks, and bookings! We want our clients to find our website easily through a simple Google search. Some of you may be thinking, “I have social media, why would I need a website?” Well, there’s two main reasons why having a website is extremely important!
With social media, you’re building on borrowed ground. You don’t own your following. With a website, you are in control of how often people see your content (vs. trying to battle the Instagram algorithm)
You have to pay to play on social media – you can build your SEO for free on your website.
Crafting a High-Converting Website
First, we recommend hiring a photographer that matches your brand to get good imagery for your website! Aesthetics are important when it comes to a good, high-converting website, but not as important as the copy that you write! When writing any copy on your website, you must focus on SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in order for people to see your hard work. Use keywords seamlessly throughout your website and blog rather than stuffing them in places that don’t make sense. PRO TIP: Checkout Moz for keywords that people actually search for.
Next, rename your photos to relate to your keyword. This will also help with SEO!
Lastly, after you’ve crafted your website, you’ll want to try the 10 second test. Get on your website landing page and do not scroll, then ask yourself: “Can my customers tell what I do, who I serve, and how they buy from me?”
