Join us today as we share an insight into our recent team meeting, quick thoughts on how you can approach this new season in your business, and some fun new ideas we are working on to continue bringing you this awesome, free, Podcast resource.
In this week’s Render Team Meeting, Cam asked the staff the most simple question — were you stressed or overwhelmed at any time in 2022? The most simple yes or no question, and hands certainly went up in the air! We can guarantee that in this new year, you will feel stressed and/or overwhelmed again with the bookings we may have booked and the magnitude of orders coming in — but we have a quick tip for you! The truth is, we all have triggers. Maybe from something traumatic in the past, or something you could have secondhand experienced but never forgot. The word Trigger means, “Something that you do or say that creates some sort of feeling in you, your mind, or your body.”
We can reframe this into something that serves you. Ed Mylett talks about this thing that he does that will snap him out of his mood or something that is stressful for him. Can you guess what it is? It is literally a snap. Yes, a snap of your fingers. That may not seem like a lot, but that one snap, or a few snaps, will reframe his mindset and get him out of the funk he is feeling. When you snap, it reminds your body and mind to snap out of it and work to move forward from that frustration or obstacle. We want to encourage you to find your thing to stop and sit in when you begin to feel frustrated this year. Maybe it is a snap, maybe you just stop what you are doing and stand there, take a deep breath, or do a lap around the office. Wherever you are, sit back and reframe your mind. If we can work on getting in front of this, this will help set you up to best manage your stresses before it gets to you too much. When the stress does come, when the overwhelm happens, you will be ready to go and be prepared to bypass that negative emotion.
