In today’s episode of The Render Podcast, we are wrapping up our Goodshuffle Pro series by discussing all things marketing and how this software can be the greatest assistant in your marketing efforts. Cam is chatting with Mallory Mullen, Sales Manager at Goodshuffle Pro, about how this platform can support your business in this sector of your business.
If you are just now joining us in this series, we encourage you to listen to the two previous episodes in this series — Ep. 167 — How Goodshuffle Pro Empowers Your Sales with Karen Gordon and Ep. 168 — How Goodshuffle Pro Supports Your Operations Dept. with Colin Connor! Tune in today as Cam and Mallory chat about how Goodshuffle Pro can assist your marketing in your business and we are excited to share this with you!
What we have learned about being able to show up and being recognizable is that we are working to intentionally maintain our brand’s presence. When we merged from Beautiful Event Rentals to Render, we knew that we wanted this to be an intentional approach. By doing so and thoughtfully considering every move we make, it has strengthened our marketing efforts along the way. This is another big reason why we are dedicated to Goodshuffle Pro. While the systems and internal processes can be the same, the outside look or appearance is a totally different vibe from one website to the next. With the integrative features of Goodshuffle Pro, you can integrate this with their seamless process and truly customize the look of their software, but make it more of your brand.
When you are posting on your Instagram, you can use that imagery cross-posted onto your other platforms for your website, Pinterest, and other social media. Using the content in more than one way will help align your brand across multiple platforms so that you can maintain that strong presence anytime a client or potential lead lands on your page. Alongside this, Goodshuffle Pro does a fantastic job at giving the space for brands, businesses, and other small business creatives to truly customize the look and feel of what they are sending in their quotes to clients. Again, the internal structure may operate the same, but being able to visually narrate who you are is what is going to continue having people talking about your brand. By being able to deliver consistency of your look throughout the entire social presence, you are showing that you are trustworthy and can deliver what you say you will deliver based on how you show up online.
While your brand should and needs to maintain and show up for who and what it is, not every font or color has to be the exact same. With Goodshuffle Pro, one feature they have that we love so much is the custom email templates. By having this feature, we, as the event business or creative, can land in our ideal client’s inbox in our ideal brand voice. What we mean by that is you can still show up as who you are and what your business or brand stands for while not having all of the literal exact font matching up. We are not implying that this is not as important, but having it as close as possible and then still showing up in the inbox with who you are can sometimes be even more important. By utilizing a strong vocabulary to communicate and being intentional, you can truly identify who you are in this way before actually picking up the phone with your potential client. First impressions are important, right? Why not start the relationship off great by using words that truly align with your brand and who you are?
Another thing you can do is show off who you are as a brand through the pieces that you are renting and offering to clients. What you decide to have as the rental inventory for your business is one of the first things that initially makes you stand out from the rest. This is what helps lay the foundation of your brand voice. When your clients send over a wishlist of what they want, they already have a sense of who you are through what you can bring to the table. Think about the damage fees that you may have to consider when renting lounges or what about the higher-than-expected delivery fee? By utilizing imagery that is warm and welcoming, even personalized brand images, it can help ‘lower the blow’ to those, perhaps, unexpected costs. This is another marketing strategy that we have found that helps and shows that we are showing up with smiles on our faces and will get it done for you! By utilizing the most you can through imagery and your chosen vocabulary through emails, or your social media, you are creating transparency and trust in what they are investing in. By not showing what you can do or talking about those uneasy fees that may be necessary, you are doing the work and being upfront with your clients so you can build that strong foundation.
One feature that we love so much is the directory that Goodshuffle Pro has. When we add in a new contact for a job we are being booked for, that contact in the directory is stored and we are able to get that information at a later date if needed. Having this information from previous clients is so nice since we can reference those tiny details. Having these details live somewhere is so helpful! Another perspective that we love is being able to reference what clients have booked multiple times with us or if they are booked already for the new year. Our Sales Team has done this step where they will access who has booked in the past vs. this same time in the new year and we can plan to do cold calls to those said clients to continue building those relationships and cultivate bookings. By doing so, we are building a strong relationship with them and showing them that we are looking forward to continuing to work together!
While this is not a hidden feature, one thing that Goodshuffle Pro has and can do for you is help in upselling your inventory. Think about it. With the internal systems, you can add tags that pull similar items that will auto-populate and can pull similar items that would flow nicely with the original inventory you or your clients are looking at. This is a strategic marketing and sales move so that you are actually, gently, suggesting additional items for your clients to look at and if they decide to go for it, you have (yay!) made an upsell! Think about it, you are the expert who knows, more often than not, what looks best. You can make suggestions to help complete the look! You can also have alternates set up so that if the item they are looking to rent is already booked for that date, they can still get something similar and still achieve the overall look.
We want to thank all of you for your time listening to these amazing episodes alongside our friends at Goodshuffle Pro!
